Dustin Jacobsen Joins Flat Square Technology Group as Chief Strategy Officer
Today Flat Square Technology Group officially welcomed Dustin Jacobsen as Chief Strategy Officer.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Jacobsen is responsible for leading digital strategy and expanding the service offering to include social media, CRM and emerging technology. The new services will supplement the existing web and software development capabilities, including custom websites, blogs, social media applications and system integration.
Prior to joining Flat Square, Jacobsen was Vice President, Social Media and Technology at Barkley, the largest employee-owned advertising agency in the US. He led the agency on digital, mobile, social and emerging technology projects. He worked on a variety of clients including Sonic Drive-In, 24 Hour Fitness, UMB Financial Corporation, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Lee Jeans, Marmot, Weight Watchers, Casey’s General Stores, Krispy Kreme, Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure & many others.
Before Barkley, Jacobsen worked at several start-up technology and marketing companies, leading cross-functional business, software engineering and marketing teams in the areas of online commerce, analytic and data mining software, CRM, mobile commerce, system integration and website development.
Jacobsen is a sought after speaker on social media, mobile and technology topics, with projects featured in various publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age and technology related publications such as MediaPost, TechCrunch, eMarketer, Mobile Marketer, ReadWriteWeb and others.
He regularly presents at local and national events such as ad:tech, Mobile Insider Summit, iMedia Breakthrough Summit and others.
Jacobsen is a regularly featured guest on the technology show for Up to Date, broadcast by KCUR, Kansas City Public Media.
Jacobsen holds a marketing degree from Iowa State University, studied abroad at London Metropolitan University and received an MBA, magna cum laude, from Baker University.
